Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is greater) to use Bea. If you are under 18 you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.

2. Not medical, mental health, or professional advice

Bea is a wellness and reflection companion. Bea is not a therapist, doctor, counselor, lawyer, or financial advisor, and Bea does not provide medical, mental health, legal, or professional advice. Responses are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Bea in a crisis. If you are in danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, call your local emergency number or a crisis line (in the US: 988).

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Bea to harm yourself or others, or to generate content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or that violates third-party rights;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service;
• Resell or redistribute the Service or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Pricing

Bea is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, they will be sold through the Apple App Store and governed by Apple's standard subscription terms (auto-renewal, manage/cancel in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings). We will notify you before any feature you rely on becomes paid.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages, journal entries, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not sell Your Content or use it to train public AI models.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Termination

You can stop using Bea and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for material breach of these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
